Abstract artist, photographer and creator
Abstract oil painter, who brings forth mesmerising fusion of colour, texture and emotion in each knife and brush stroke.
Background.
Capable Dube (born September 12, 1987), in Lupane Matabeleland NorthProvince, Zimbabwe is a self-taught Middle East expatriate painter, instructor, printmaker, and craft maker, one of the most emerging 21st century contemporary artist aspiring to grow and educate the world in abstract art using oil mediums, brushes and knives.
His interest inart started at an early age in Lupane where he grew up; inspired by nature, rivers, rocks, lushy green landscape where he herded his guardians’ livestock together with other extended family siblings. Inspired by Pablo Picasso’s work.
Education
He has a Diplomain Education (UAE) with specialization in Special Education Needs, he holds a Master of Science degree in Accounting and Finance (2021), a Bachelor of Commerce Honors Degree in Accounting (2013) and a Certificate in pastel Accounting (2009).
Previous workand Exhibitions
During Ramadanof 2023, he provided Art and Craft lessons to visitors at the Expo City Dubai under the Sharabassi Workshop where the following skills/ craft were taught:
a. Arabic Calligraphy- cardboard lamp.
b. 3D pen Ramadan Decor.
c. Punch needle craft.
d. Cricut Greeting cards.
e. Concrete candle holders and many more…He pioneered anArt Exhibition for students of Determination at the North American International School(NAIS) in Dubai which resulted in at least 10 students of determination participating in the Inclusion week Art exhibition entitled “Diversityis a Fact, Inclusion Is an Act” on the 10th of February 2023 towhich at least 16 oil, pastel and acrylics paintings were exhibited from 20cm x 30cm to at least 40cm x 60cm and are still there mounted at the lobby of the NAIS Auditorium.
He participatedin a successful Group Exhibition in 2023 under Artoze Gallery with a theme “Celebratingthe Spirit of Ramadan with Art”, which was featured in the Khaleej Times MiddleEast and Magzoid Magazine.
He is a full-timevolunteer under the Dubai Culture- Art Dubai since 2022 as a gallerist under the schools’ programme where he explains artworks to school and college students who are aspiring artists.
In December 2021,he was part of people makingHistory on Art Exhibition Held Under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, on celebrating 50 Glorious Years of the United Arab Emirates and painted a 45cm x60cm oils and acrylics on canvas which was titled “The50 Glorious Years of the United Arab Emirates!” in Ajman- UAE.
During high school in Bulawayo and college times, he was a memberof the Dreams and Teams club under the British Council which was involved in raising awareness of recycling waste into art and craft, encouraged citizens to embrace culture which would in turn mould their characters to be better responsible citizens.
